Artem Jewelry is deigned by Boston-based jeweler and architect Sadhna Gupta Brown. Each piece is handmade from materials from the USA, India and Italy. Many of the components in her designs are ethically handcrafted in the Kolkata jewelry studios of Her Future Coalition, a nonprofit creating powerful and positive change in the lives of Indian and Nepali survivors of gender violence and girls at the highest risk, providing education, vocational training, safe shelter and supportive community.
The organization's jewelry program gives women the opportunity to learn a profession and support themselves independently. Her Future jewelers are breaking gender barriers, becoming some of South Asia’s first women goldsmiths, and earning wages comparable to a college graduate.
