Just like Abroad Modern, women-owned and operated Pineapple Collaborative centers on a mission to support other women—their products, companies, stories and movements—in order to create community and connection. This extra virgin olive oil was crafted in collaboration with olive oil maker Kathryn Tomajan.
Pineapple Collaborative started as a simple potluck dinner in 2015. At the time, brands everywhere were on a mission to “build community,” yet the female founders of Pineapple never really felt welcome. So they decided to start the kind of community they pined for.
Back then Pineapple's founding team - Ariel Pasternak, Raisa Aziz, Ann Yang, Maddie Morales, Jordan Miller and Atara Bernstein - hosted events across Washington, DC spotlighting incredible women in food and building community. Over time these IRL events expanded to NYC, the Bay Area and LA and they launched digital content too.
Today, Pineapple is led by Ariel, Atara, Dani Dillon and Rebecca Kligerman who use their buying power to support exceptional women farmers, creatives, producers, leaders and chefs.
